This is the first year for Vero Lake <br />Estates MSTU., and the proposed millage levy is $50 per <br />parcel/acre. The Vero Lake Estates MSTU contains a total of <br />3,976 taxable parcel acres, and this would generate a total of <br />$198,800, including $7,200 interest that would be generated, or a <br />net of $195,700 after deducting the 5% required by Statute <br />129.01. After the payments due the Tax Collector, this would <br />leave $191,225 to be spent on transportation related projects, <br />and it is anticipated this all would be spent, leaving no reserve <br />for contingency. <br />Public Works Director Davis then gave the history of the <br />drainage problems in this area leading up to the creation of the <br />Vero Lake Estates MSTU, referring to the fact that the outfall <br />canal on the east side of CR 510 was not able to convey enough <br />2 <br />
