BooK 62- fOGE 375 <br />situation whereby the Board could grant an exemption, since it is <br />the American way to leave our children the family property. <br />Unfortunately, there have been some bad situations created in <br />similar cases before the Subdivision Ordinance was adopted. He <br />felt the other Commissioners would like to grant the waiver also, <br />but cannot vote for something that is illegal. <br />Commissioner Wodtke also felt regret, but pointed out that <br />Mr. Metz has the alternative of platting his property to <br />accomplish his goals for his family. <br />Chairman Lyons agreed that all they had to do is follow the <br />regulations of the Subdivision Ordinance. <br />Mr. Metz felt this was very unjust and hoped the County <br />Commission will look at these problems that do exist and consider <br />amending the Subdivision Ordinance. <br />Commissioner Bowman commented that she heard that deed <br />restrictions are not worth anything. <br />Attorney Vitunac explained that it depends on whose favor <br />they are in, because whoever made the restriction with the <br />permission of the other person can get rid of the restriction <br />also. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. The <br />Motion was voted on and carried unanimously <br />(4-0), Commissioner Scurlock being absent. <br />HEADSTART REPRESENTATIVES THANK COUNTY FOR ROAD WORK <br />Mary Hector and Wanda Williams took this opportunity to <br />thank the County for fixing the huge hole in the road leading to <br />the Headstart facility in Wabasso. In addition, they requested <br />that Headstart be put on the Agenda for next Wednesday's meeting <br />in order to be considered for space in the Douglas Elementary <br />School. <br />Administrator Wright advised that staff has not talked with <br />the Headstart representatives yet about space in the school. <br />18 <br />
