OCT 2 3 1985 <br />BOOK -- 62 PAGE 483 <br />- The Hutchinson Island Planning & Management Plan <br />- The Indian River County Code of Laws and Ordinances <br />Staff finds that the application does not conflict with the <br />planning objectives contained in the above documents, with the <br />exception of the proposed project's inconsistency with the <br />approved site plan IRC -8I -SP -110. Section 23.1(1)(2), Appendix <br />A, Zoning, of the Indian River County Code of Laws and <br />Ordinances requires that minor variations in the approved site <br />plan are permitted upon planning department approval. <br />As per the Indian River County Code of Laws and Ordinances, it <br />is required that the applicant submit revised site plans for <br />planning department approval concerning the proposed docking <br />facility. <br />Although the extent of any impacts are not fully known at this <br />time, there may be cumulative impacts 'of this and other <br />multiple dockage projects proposed to be constructed along the <br />Indian River upon the Florida manatee. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />It is recommended that the Board of County Commissioners <br />authorize staff to forward the following comments regarding <br />this project to the Florida Department of Environmental <br />Regulation: <br />1) Indian River County has no objection to the proprosed <br />project; <br />2) The Department of Environmental Regulation and other <br />appropriate agencies should consider the potential <br />cumulative impacts of marina projects upon the Florida <br />manatee. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously author- <br />ized staff to forward a letter of no objection to <br />the DER and to recommend that the DER and other <br />agencies consider the potential cumulative impacts <br />of marina projects upon the Florida manatee. <br />1_ Budget Amendment, 4$ Salary Increase, Sheriff's Office <br />The Board reviewed memo of former OMB Director Barton, as <br />follows: <br />14 <br />
