RESOLUTION 96-164 <br /> far-reaching statutory and constitutional measures affecting local <br /> governments; and <br /> WHEREAS, the membership of the commission includes 5 <br /> representatives of Florida counties along with five city officials, and <br /> one school board representative, two special district representatives, <br /> four members of the House and Senate, and four gubernatorial <br /> appointees. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF <br /> COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br /> that: <br /> Section 1.The representatives, members and staff of Indian <br /> River County, municipalities and special districts within the County <br /> should actively participate in this important initiative. <br /> Section 2.The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br /> County urges elected and appointed officials to support, monitor and <br /> participate in the important work of the legislatively created Commission <br /> on Local Government II. <br /> Section 3.Indian River County shall closely monitor and review <br /> the Commission's proposals and policy options and prepare <br /> recommendations for consideration by the Commission on Local <br /> Government II. <br /> Section 4.The Board of County Commissioners hereby encourages <br /> the governing body of municipalities and special districts within the <br /> County to adopt similar resolutions in support of the Commission on <br /> Local Government II. <br /> The resolution was moved to adoption by Commissioner <br />
