n <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> 1 <br /> 1. TRANSIT ADVERTISING SERVICES .I <br /> i <br /> 1.01 CONTRACTOR shall furnish all necessary sales, installation and maintenance <br /> personnel, and an account representative, authorized to act hereunder on behalf of <br /> CONTRACTOR. The responsibilities of CONTRACTOR shall include: <br /> Aggressive sales of advertising display space in and on GoLine and Community <br /> Coach buses and publications (including on-board video and slide in placard <br /> advertisements). <br /> Billing for and collection of sold advertising space including initial contracts and <br /> renewals of contracts. <br /> Preparation and submittal of related financial and operating reports. <br /> Placement and maintenance of advertising materials, including preparing of <br /> advertising materials for installation, scheduling of work and removing expired <br /> materials, to be performed at CONTRACTOR's sole expense. <br /> 1.02 All advertising materials, advertisements and manner of presentation shall be subject to <br /> prior approval by the PROJECT MANAGER. CONTRACTOR shall not place advertising <br /> which is libelous, slanderous, obscene, salacious, or unlawful. Advertising, advertisements, <br /> or a manner of presentation which negatively impacts the transit system is not permitted. <br /> Advertising for tobacco, liquor of any type, political messages, or any other inappropriate <br /> advertising is prohibited. <br /> 1.03 All permissible exterior formats are as shown in Attachment #1, Bus Diagrams. <br /> Permissible interior advertising shall be on digital monitors while available, switching to slide <br /> in placards and two advertising spaces on route maps. <br /> 1.03(a) It is understood that not all newer buses will include slide in placard advertising <br /> spaces. If any bus is not equipped with pre-installed slide in placard spaces, no inside <br /> advertising may be placed in that bus without prior COUNTY approval. The location of slide <br /> in placard advertising shall be in compliance with Attachment#2. <br /> 1.04 COUNTY's Advertising Standards attached as Exhibit C shall be incorporated into this <br /> Amended Agreement and shall be made a part hereof. CONTRACTOR shall solely be <br /> responsible for the implementation and enforcement of said advertising standards. <br /> CONTRACTOR shall not modify or amend the advertising standards without first obtaining <br /> the prior written consent of the PROJECT MANAGER. This may require an Amendment to <br /> the Amended Agreement prior to implementation. <br /> 1.05 At his/her sole discretion, the PROJECT MANAGER may disapprove at any time any <br /> items found to be in violation of the standards stated in Section 1.04 above. As soon as <br /> practicable, but in no instance more than seven (7) days after receipt of notice, <br /> CONTRACTOR, at its sole cost and expense, shall remove from COUNTY property any item <br /> which is not approved.
