Administrator Wright reported that we were trying to work <br />towards a three county consortium, but St. Lucie backed out and <br />is doing their own study. It is possible they may give some <br />consideration to having this handled by a private enterprise. <br />Commissioner Bird felt some of the problem might relate to ' <br />St. Lucie being the central location, but Commissioner Scurlock <br />emphasized that politics is the problem. if you have a three or <br />four county operation, he believed it would necessitate having <br />some kind of an authority to control it. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously (4-0) <br />approved the contract with Camp Dresser & McKee <br />for a County Landfill Rate Study, including a <br />Solid Waste Management Master Plan, Sludge Manage- <br />ment Feasibility Study, and Septage Feasibility <br />Study, and authorized the signature of the Chairman. <br />(Said Contract is on file in the Office of the Clerk.) <br />DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT WITH ROADSIDE INN <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Scurlock, the Board unanimously <br />(4-0) approved a Development Agreement with <br />Vero Motel Associates, Ltd., (Roadside Inn) <br />and authorized the signature of the Chairman. <br />57 <br />QV 6 1985 BOOK. 62 PACE 683 <br />
