C1 <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />Thursday, November 21, 1985 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Special Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Thursday, <br />November 21, 1985 at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Patrick B. <br />Lyons, Chairman; Don C. Scurlock, Jr., Vice Chairman; Richard N. <br />Bird; and William C. Wodtke, Jr. Margaret C. Bowman was on <br />vacation. Also present were Michael J. Wright, County <br />Administrator; Charles P. Vitunac, Attorney to the Board of <br />County Commissioners; and Barbara Bonnah, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />FIREFIGHTERS' CONTRACT <br />Sonny Dean, Director of General Services, reported that <br />after five months of negotiations with Local 2201 of the <br />International Association of Fire Fighters, the union body met <br />bast night and Bill Tripp, President of Local 2201, and he have a <br />contract to present to the Board this morning. It is the <br />recommendation of the Negotiating Committee that the County enter <br />into this agreement with Local 2201. <br />Commissioner Bird assumed that the contract is what the <br />Board discussed in yesterday's caucus, and Director Dean <br />confirmed that it is. <br />
