He did not think they would have <br />a problem with that. <br />Commissioner Bird agreed with Administrator Wright about <br />having a written agreement if any of the property is sub -leased <br />to another organization, just so the County is aware of it. <br />Chairman Scurlock felt that the lease is okay, but we are <br />saying that any time they go to sub -lease, we want to have all <br />the commitments on both sides so that when a problem arises we <br />have something spelled out. <br />- Administrator- Wright suggested that they go one step further <br />and work that out beforehand, because once the lease is signed, <br />it is going to be more difficult. They could come back and say <br />that they are not going to lease it to anyone, and then we would <br />have Wabasso on our heads. <br />Commissioner Wodtke expressed concern about the County <br />removing the old wooden school building without determining if <br />there is any part of it that would have historical value, and <br />Administrator Wright reported that part of it is torn down <br />already as the Board had instructed him either to tear it down or <br />see if anyone was interested in salvaging it for materials. <br />Chairman Scurlock assured Commissioner Wodtke that on a <br />recent inspection of the site, he did not see anything of <br />historical value left in the building. <br />Commissioner Bird suggested adding some language in <br />Paragraph 3 that says if they do sub -lease a portion of the <br />facilities under this lease, that it be done with the approval of <br />the Board of County Commissioners. <br />Attorney Barkett advised that would be his suggestion also, <br />unless Administrator Wright has a reason not to. <br />Chairman Scurlock agreed because he wanted to see us take <br />some action on this and move on. <br />Commissioner Bird asked again about insurance, and wanted to <br />be sure that liability is covered if the EOC is leasing to the <br />Wabasso Progressive Civic League and someone gets injured at one <br />44 <br />M a M <br />
