JAN 15 1986 Boaz 63 F,1, - 25 <br />EXHIBIT "A►► <br />EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT <br />THIS CONTRACT made this 7 day of necerhPr , <br />1983 by and between INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, a political subdivision <br />of the State of Florida, referred to herein as "County," and <br />MICHAEL WR1GHT, an individual, hereinafter referred to as <br />"Administrator." <br />IN WITNESS HEREOF, the parties agree as follows: <br />1. This shall be considered a contract for a definite <br />term for both parties under the laws of the State of Florida. The <br />initial term of this contract shall commence on October 1, 1983 <br />and shall end September 30, 1985 and shall continue for subsequent <br />one years periods.thereafter unless terminated by either party <br />according to the provisions of paragraph 6. <br />2. Salary for the first year of this contract term <br />shall be FORTY-EIGHT THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS and 00/100 <br />($48,700.00). Salary for the second year or additional years of <br />this contract shall be negotiated between the parties in advance <br />of the beginning of the second year or any additional year and <br />shall in any event be increased no less than the percentage <br />increase given to County Commissioners by the State of Florida. <br />In addition thereto, the Administrator shall be entitled to the <br />standard County car allowance of TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS and 00/100 <br />($200.00) per month and twenty cents ($0.20) per mile for all <br />travel on County business outside of the County. In the event the <br />amount of car allowance is increased for other administrative <br />employees during the term of this contract, then Administrator <br />shall receive a like increase. <br />3. The County shall provide Administrator with all the <br />benefits accruing County employees under the Rules and Regulations <br />for the Personnel Management System of Indian River County for an <br />administrative position; however, the Administrator shall be <br />exempt from all employee management provisions of the Rules and <br />Regulations for the Personnel Management System and shall report <br />directly to the Board of County Commissioners under the provisions <br />of the Indian River County Administrative Ordinance. <br />k[l] <br />
