4. The Administrator shall fulfill the responsibilities <br />of the Office of the County Administrator as provided by, Section <br />1-34 (Ordinance No. 82-10 Section 4, 6-2-82) of the Code of Laws <br />and Ordinances of Indian River County. <br />5. This employment contract may be terminated by the <br />County only for cause according to the procedures set forth in <br />Section 1-33 (Ordinance No. 82-10 Section 3, 6-2-82) of the Code <br />of Laws and Ordinances of Indian River County or in accordance <br />with paragraph 6 hereof. Failure to diligently and conscien- <br />tiously discharge the duties of the office of County Administrator <br />shall constitute just cause for termination under this paragraph. <br />Should the County terminate Administrator under this <br />paragraph, he shall be entitled to severance pay calculated based <br />upon Administrator's salary at the date of termination according <br />to the following table and years of service: <br />..Years of Service Severance Pay <br />2 or less 60 days <br />3 90 days <br />4 120 days <br />5 or more 150 days <br />Administrator shall also be entitled to pay for all <br />accrued vacation time and sick leave according to the regulations <br />set forth in the Indian River County Rules and Regulations for the <br />Personnel Management System for administrative employees. <br />6. This employment contract may also be terminated by <br />the County at the end of the initial term or any subsequent yearly <br />extension thereof by giving the Administrator sixty (60) days <br />written notice in advance of the end of the initial term or yearly <br />extension, whichever is applicable, in which event Administrator <br />shall be entitled to severance pay in accordance with the schedule <br />in paragraph 5 hereof. This employment contract may be terminated <br />by the Administrator at the end of the initial term or any subse- <br />quent yearly extension thereof by giving the County sixty (60) <br />days written notice in advance of the end of the initial term or <br />subsequent extension, in which event Administrator shall not be <br />entitled to any severance pay - <br />JAN 15 1986 <br />�OGK. 63 252 <br />
