JAN 15 �9�� Boor 63 : 307 <br />Waterway & Location: The project is located in the <br />Indian River in Bethel Creek, adjacent to Lot 10, <br />Block 2, Unit 1, Bethel Isles, Section 29, Township <br />32 South, Range 40 East, Indian River County, <br />Florida. The upland property associated with the <br />,project is located at 4832 Bethel Creek Drive, in the <br />City of Vero Beach. <br />Work & Purpose: The applicant proposes to construct <br />3 separate 4' x 19' straight piers, perpendicular to <br />the shore and parallel to each other, separated by a <br />distance of 22 feet and 21 feet, respectively.. The <br />combined number of boat slips proposed is five. No <br />sewage pump -out or fueling facilities are proposed. <br />No dredging or filling will be performed. <br />4) Application No 31-113609-4: <br />Applicant: Mr. Donald M. Rebar, 20510 Bunker Hill, <br />Fairview Park, Ohio 44126. <br />Waterway & Location: The project is located in the <br />Indian River in John's Island Sound, adjacent to Lot <br />21, Replat of John's Island Plat Nos. 25 and 26, <br />Section 12, Township 32 South, Range 29 East, Indian <br />River County, Florida. The upland property associ- <br />ated with the project is located at Lot 21, Coconut <br />Palm Road, in the Town of Indian River Shores. <br />Work i&_Purpose: The applicant proposes to construct <br />a private single L-shaped dock, extending 60 feet <br />waterward, 4 feet in width. The terminal platform is <br />to have a length of 22 feet and a width of 7 feet, 4 <br />inches. No sewage pump -out or fueling facilities are <br />proposed. No dredging or filling will be performed. <br />ALTERNATIVES & ANALYSIS: <br />The Planning and Development Division reviews and submits <br />comments on dredge and fill applications to the permitting <br />agencies based upon the following: <br />The Conservation & Coastal Zoning_ Management Element of <br />the Indian River Comprehensive Plan <br />Coastal Zone Management, Interim Goals, Objectives & <br />Policies for the Treasure Coast Region <br />The Hutchinson Island Planninq & Management Plan <br />The Indian River County Code of Laws and Ordinances <br />In reviewing the proposed dockage projects, only one of the <br />four projects is located in the unincorporated portion of the <br />County. Subsequently, the focus of staff review is on poten- <br />tial County and regional impacts rather than site-specific <br />impacts; in-depth field inspections of the project sites were <br />not conducted. <br />Chapter 16Q-20 of the Florida Administrative Code sets parame- <br />ters for private residential single docks located in the Indian <br />River Aquatic Preserve.
