Baird OMB Director DESCRIPTION OF CONDITIONS Agreement Between Indian River County Board of County Commissioners and Indian River Community Mental Health Center, Inc. to Evaluate Prisoners REFERENCES: Attached is a copy of an Agreement between Indian River County Board of County Commissioners and the Indian River Community Mental Health Center, Inc., for the Mental Health Center to evaluate prisoners for a fixed fee of $1,250.00 per month. Both Charles Vitunac and Sonny Dean have receive! the Agreement and are satisfied with the terms and conditions set forth therein. RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends the Honorable Board of County Commissioners approve the Agreement between Indian River County and the Indian River Community Mental Health Center, Inc. Commissioner Wodtke asked if the judges have indicated that they feel this is a good evaluation system or are they going to order outside evaluations. General Services Director Sonny Dean explained that these evaluations primarily are ordered by a doctor. They are not court ordered evaluations. Last year the County paid much more then that. Commissioner Lyons asked what we are saving, and Administrator Wright stated that the cost ran twice this amount, because we were talking $4,000-$5,000 a month when we went down to St. Lucie County to negotiate this process.
