Scurlock, Jr., Chairman <br />Indian River County Board of Commissioners <br />County Administration Building <br />1840 - 25 Street <br />Vero Beach, Florida 32960 <br />This letter is to acknowledge and confirm that the Florida <br />Department of Transportation will present their preliminary five <br />year (1986-1991) work program to your county commission on <br />January 22, 1986 at approximately 10:00 a.m. <br />Sincerely, <br />Donald E. Henderson, P. E. <br />District Planning Engineer <br />Public Works Director Jim Davis introduced William Fowler <br />Chuck Barrett and and Don Henderson of the DOT. <br />Mr. Fowler explained that the DOT 5 -year work program is <br />strictly speculative as they are awaiting news on the State's <br />budget cutbacks. They are here today to highlight the program <br />and ask for comments from the Commissioners. <br />Mr. Fowler reported that due to lower revenues than <br />expected, the DOT is still working on projects that were <br />underfunded in the past.
