fees, at a minimum, would be $2,500, and there must be some <br />allowance made also for the County Attorney's time. <br />Chairman Scurlock felt attorney's fees then could amount to <br />between $3-5,000. <br />. Attorney Vitunac agreed and also noted that there is some <br />dispute re the actual value of this property; possibly it is <br />worth more than $2,500 and closer to $5,000. <br />Director Davis stated that the appraisal was based on <br />current market sales in the area, and he felt the controversy <br />lies as to what comparables you look at. <br />Commissioner Bird advised that the land owners may argue the <br />land is worth more to them than the actual land cost and also <br />because of the possibility they could lose a lot in their <br />subdivision planning. He <br />felt <br />the <br />owner <br />could go <br />to court and <br />claim he lost a lot which <br />would <br />be <br />worth <br />possibly <br />$8,000. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Lyons, Commissioner Wodtke voted <br />in opposition, the Board by a 4 to 1 vote <br />authorized purchase of the Bryant Carter and <br />Corbitt Smith property at a price of $5,000, <br />which the owner is willing to settle for, for <br />the reason that in that way the County will come <br />out best financially. <br />PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO GRAND HARBOR DEVELOPMENT ORDER <br />The hour of 9:45 o'clock A.M. having passed, the Deputy <br />Clerk read the following Notice with Proof of Publication <br />attached, to -wit: <br />43 <br />Book 63 b �•� <br />. �d <br />
