- <br />EF, 5 1986 BOOK 63 P'.,[ 53 <br />Director Davis explained that this is the annual public <br />works program application, but the difference is that this year <br />we reflect a revised cost estimate from the Corps of Engineers <br />for the project. The benefit cost ratios we are using are last <br />year's ratios. They are working on that now updating a total <br />revised scope of work, and it does i.nclude a larger project. The <br />Vero Beach section now extends northward to the north limit of <br />the Tracking Station property. He noted that the Public Works <br />Program will*be heard in Tallahassee February 12 -13th, and the <br />DER is recommending we send a representative to Tallahassee to <br />present our application at the Annual Water Resources Development <br />Conference on Feb. 13th. <br />In discussion, it was generally agreed someone from the <br />county should attend. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously <br />approved submission to the DER of the applica- <br />tion for Beach Nourishment, authorized the <br />signature of the Chairman, and authorized <br />appropriate staff to present said application <br />to the DER in Tallahassee as set out above. <br />LAND ACQUISITION FOR COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT BUILDING <br />Administrator Wright reviewed the following memo and map: <br />64 <br />
