e <br />FEB 12 1966 &ooK 63 r,{ -1E 1 <br />Commissioner Bird agreed it is nice to save the money, but <br />he also hoped the system will work. He believed we have a <br />subcontractor that is installing the heating and air conditioning <br />system and asked if it isn't his responsibility to balance the <br />system. <br />Director Dean explained this item was pulled out because the <br />people who install it add on to their contract for doing .tha.t, <br />and then they go out and get a subcontractor to do it. <br />Commissioner Bird just hoped we are not letting somebody off <br />the hook and wished to know who we go back to if it doesn't work <br />the one who installed the system or the one who balanced it. <br />Director Dean stated we will rely on the architect and it <br />was noted that this was not particularly successful in the past. <br />Commissioner Lyons reported that up to this point he has had <br />two meetings with the architect and has found that where he has <br />made an error, he has issued a change order and taken care of it <br />at his expense. So far he felt quite comfortable about this. <br />Question arose as to why we couldn't have the HVAC balanced <br />at the County Administration Building, and Administrator Wright <br />stated that this has been tried before unsuccessfully; <br />works at the jail, we will try it here again. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. <br />It was voted on and carried unanimously. <br />52 <br />if it <br />
