UTILITIES - (MAY BE PRESENT ALONG LIMITS OF PROJECT) <br />FPL <br />ATT <br />IRC Utilities <br />Comcast Cable Communications <br />Florida City Gas <br />Indian River County Traffic <br />ADDENDUM: <br />Maintenance of Traffic <br />Changeable Variable Message Signs added to bid items <br />IRC Special Conditions for Right -of -Way Construction added to specifications <br />Marking and signing plan revisions <br />Utilities <br />Clarification of Utility questions <br />Drainage <br />All Type C and E Ditch Bottom Inlets are to include a 12" sump <br />All questions will be addressed in the addendum <br />FEDERAL REQUIREMENTS: <br />• Invoicing — will be monthly <br />• Pay application submittals <br />• Release of liens <br />DISCUSSION: <br />• Utility relocation design was done by the Indian River County Utilities Dept. <br />• Maintenance of Traffic: <br />o Old Dixie Highway will be allowed to be close but will allow local traffic and <br />emergency vehicles only. <br />o The official detour will be on County Road 510, US 1 and 69th Street which are <br />signalized intersections at U.S. 1. <br />o The County recommended that the project to be done in one mile segments. <br />• Addendum will be sent out to address questions and changes. Review and comment as soon <br />as possible, no further comments / questions 10 days prior to bid opening (Sunday, October <br />11, 2015). <br />• F.D.O.T. requirements will have to be followed <br />• The Contractor will be required to bid the project to include the structural number design (SN <br />1.8/in.) The Asphalt Institute or another qualified firm may have to be involved. <br />• The Contractor's geotechnical consultant will be required to determine the design based on <br />the soils that are encountered during construction. <br />• Erosion control, does the Contractor have to follow the plan or can he come up with his own <br />based on the conditions? Recommended that the Contractor speaks with Todd Tardif, Indian <br />River County Sr. Stormwater Inspector. The County can also evaluate it as to the different <br />options and will be revised on the Bid Schedule. <br />• Forcemain will have to be offset based on the plans. <br />• Project flagmen will need to be F.D.O.T. certified. <br />• Is the endwall thickness 8" or 12"? (See Addendum No. 1) <br />• The endwalls can be pre -cast. However the design must be done by the Contractors supplier <br />and must be designed to tie into the box culvert's reinforcing steel. <br />ATTACHED: Sign In Sheet <br />3 <br />
