The "County" should be changed to read: The <br />"Contractor" will use a qualified "shaping foreman" that <br />is acceptable to the Architect. <br />Administrator Wright advised that the recommendation is for <br />the Chairman to sign the contract subject to the definition of <br />the amount of dirt to be removed and the depth of the lakes. <br />Chairman Scurlock wondered how they could have an amount <br />included for irrigation if they have not decided yet on which <br />type of system to use, and Administrator Wright explained that <br />the figure included is for installation of an irrigation system. <br />At a prior meeting the Board authorized them to pull out the <br />irrigation materials as a separate item and purchase them, but <br />the Board still needs to make a decision as to what system to go <br />with, either the Toro or the Rain Bird. <br />Chairman Scurlock felt that one of the problems with us <br />buying the materials is who is going to guarantee what. <br />Generally, when you have one package, the firm guarantees both <br />the materials and the labor. <br />Administrator Wright stated he would discuss that with the <br />Architect and the Contract.or. <br />Chairman Scurlock also noted there is no glue or teflon tape <br />included in the list for irrigation materials, and Administrator <br />Wright stated that they have not finalized the materials list as <br />yet and that is not part of this contract. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wodtke, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously (3-0) <br />authorized the Chairman's signature to the contract <br />with Guettler & Sons subject to the finalization with <br />the Architect of the settlement of the warranty issue <br />on materials vs. labor and the amount of dirt to be <br />removed and the depth of the lakes. <br />CONTRACT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />--55 <br />MBAR 6 1966 Bo�K 6 pm, 4^34 <br />
