ARCHITECT SELECTION COMMITTEE FOR GOLF COURSE CLUB HOUSE <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 4/2/86: <br />TO: The Honorable Members DATE: April 2, 1986 FILE: <br />of the Board of County _ <br />Commissioners <br />THRU: Michael Wright <br />County Administrator <br />H. T. "Sonn ' Dean <br />FROM: Director <br />General Servic s <br />SUBJECT: Golf Course Club House <br />Architect Selection Committee <br />REFERENCES: <br />As requested by County Administrator, Michael Wright, the subject <br />Committee met on Wednesday, April 2, 1986. In evaluating the five <br />applicants, the Committee felt that due to the size project, C. E. <br />Block Architect, Inc. would be the number one priority. It is a <br />local firm with proven experience. <br />The Committee recommends they be authorized to negotiate with the <br />following Architects as prioritized to design the Sandridge Golf <br />Course Club House and applicable facilities: <br />1. C. E. Block, Architects, Inc. <br />Vero Beach, Florida <br />2. Peacock & Lewis <br />West Palm Beach, Florida <br />3. Darby & Way, Inc. <br />Ft. Lauderdale, Florida <br />General Services Director Sonny Dean asked for authorization <br />to proceed with the negotiations for an architect for the <br />Sandridge club house. <br />Director Dean advised that he, Commissioner Bird, Director <br />Thomas, and Director Wright served on the Selection Committee, <br />and Administrator Wright explained that the members of these <br />selection committees vary from project to project and situation <br />to situation according to the particular expertise needed. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, that the Board approve the <br />recommendation of the Selection Committee and <br />60 <br />BOOK 64 F',1;C 133 <br />
