Chairman Scurlock noted that at this point we are simply <br />authorizing negotiations with Mr. Block, and the Golf Course <br />Committee will look at the revenue factor and the whole picture, <br />and then they will make a recommendation as to what kind of <br />facility should be built. <br />Administrator Wright felt that in the next few weeks or so <br />those decisions will be made. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. The Motion <br />was voted on and carried unanimously. <br />COUNTY -INITIATED REQUEST TO REZONE 9 ACRES FROM A-1 to RS -6 - <br />FOPASCLO DEVELOPMENT <br />Chairman Scurlock announced a conflict of interest as he is <br />one quarter owner of Fopasclo Development. He turned the gavel <br />over to Vice Chairman Lyons and left the room. <br />Vice Chairman Lyons explained that he asked for this to be <br />placed on the agenda because he believed there was some confusion <br />about the Board's instructions to staff last week when this was <br />heard at a public hearing. His understanding was that the Board <br />had instructed staff to proceed with a County -initiated request <br />to rezone the 9 acres from A-1 to RS -6, and he did not feel this <br />related to whether we had a further study out there or not. He <br />asked if that was the understanding of the other Commissioners. <br />Commissioner Wodtke noted that he had hoped we could <br />accomplish this at that hearing since it was consistent with what <br />the people in the area had and desired. He agreed that we had <br />instructed staff to initiate such a rezoning and that it did not <br />have to wait until we revisited the area. <br />Commissioner Bird concurred that this merely keeps the 9 <br />acres consistent with the surrounding property. <br />Carolyn Eggert, Chairman of the Planning 6 Zoning Commis- <br />sion, did not feel that it would take long to revisit this <br />matter, and she stated that she did encourage staff to move the <br />62 <br />APR 9 1986 BOOK 64 F,�rn 135 <br />
