THE INDIAN RIVER LAGOON COUNTIES COLLABORATIVE <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15- <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE TERMINATION OF <br />THE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT CREATING THE <br />INDIAN RIVER LAGOON, COUNTIES COLLABORATIVE <br />(IRLCC) <br />WHEREAS, in 2014 the County Council of Volusia County and the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Brevard County, Indian River County St. Lucie County and Martin County <br />entered into an Interlocal Agreement for the creation of the Indian River Lagoon Counties <br />Collaborative; and <br />WHEREAS, the members of IRLCC entered into the Agreement in order to coordinate <br />efforts to improve and protect the health of the Lagoon; and <br />WHEREAS, in 2015 the Indian River Lagoon Council was established as the governing <br />entity for the Indian River Lagoon National Estuary Program (IRLNEP) which consists of <br />representatives from each of the IRLCC member counties or municipalities located within a <br />member county, as well as the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, the St. John's <br />Water Management District and the South Florida Water Management District; and <br />WHEREAS, the IRLNEP has the same objectives as the IRLCC but has significantly <br />expanded resources. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by a majority vote of the Indian River Lagoon Counties <br />Collaborative that: <br />Each of the member counties is requested to terminate the Interlocal Agreement for the creation <br />of the Indian River Lagoon Counties Collaborative pursuant to Section 6.03 of such Interlocal <br />Agreement. <br />DULY PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS TWENTY-FIFTH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 2015. <br />INDIAN RIVER LAGOON COUNTIES <br />COLLABORATIVE <br />ED FIELDING <br />CHAIRMAN <br />1 <br />I <br />161 <br />
