INNOVATION <br />Performance Measurement and Monitoring <br />MPO staff developed a Transit Cost and Service Effectiveness indicator that reconciles system utilization with <br />system efficiency and is scalable to all systems (2014 TRB Tools of the Trade Conference, Burlington, Vermont, <br />Session B-4; 2015 95th Annual Meeting, Washington, DC, Session 800). The MPO's Paper and accompanying <br />presentation were awarded Outstanding Presentation at the Tools of the Trade Conference. <br />Staff has played a leading role in other performance <br />monitoring areas, such as by chairing an FDOT <br />Discussion Panel on incorporating Performance <br />Measurement in the Planning Process from an MPO <br />perspective. <br />Public Outreach <br />The MPO developed and organized a "Candidate <br />Forum" Public Involvement concept, May 2015. Staff asiso conducted "pre" <br />and "post" training quizzes to measure retention. <br />MPO Staff developed innovative Bike Ped and Greenways Plans in <br />conjunction with Sprinkle Consulting and Alta Planning and Design; <br />adopted ordinances for Private Development provision of Bike/Ped <br />infrastructure; developed public safety plans, campaigns, PSA, and <br />Chair the Community Traffic Safety Team of Indian River County. <br />lOAp.a, <br />• <br />Onc-1"re5>urr.
