Board of County Commissioners <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />November 20, 2015 <br />7. On February October 23, 2015, The State of Florida invoiced Indian River County for $25,000 <br />which represents the State portion of the de -obligated Project Worksheet for 5313 from <br />Hurricane Frances for the Communication Tower. Indian River County has filed an appeal for <br />this de -obligation. The State is expecting payment as soon as possible, as FEMA has already <br />pulled these monies directly from the State. In the event that the appeal is won, the State of <br />Florida would immediately repay Indian River County. The attached entry appropriates funds <br />in the amount of $25,000 from General Fund/Reserve for Contingency. <br />8. Replacement equipment is needed for the display control systems in the Commission <br />Chambers. The attached entry appropriates $6,000 from General Fund/Reserve for <br />Contingency. Additionally, a new server rack is needed to extend the useable life of our <br />broadcast system. The cost of approximately $ 52,000 will be funded by the Computer <br />Services Department reserves. <br />9. On October 20, 2015 the Board of County Commissioners approved Change Order # 2 to <br />Timothy Rose Contracting for the Martin Luther King Walking Trail/Park in the amount of <br />$67,447. Additional site work is needed in order to properly finish the park at an estimated cost <br />of $160,000. The attached entry appropriates funding from General Fund/Reserve for <br />Contingency in the amount of $ 44,079 and $160,000 from Optional Sales Tax/Cash Forward - <br />Oct 1st <br />Staff Recommendation <br />Staff recommends that the Board of Commissioners approve the attached budget resolution <br />amending the fiscal year 2015/2016 budget. <br />Attachments <br />Budget Amendment 004 and Resolution <br />APPROVED AGENDA ITEM - <br />BY <br />c§cLAJ) d <br />Josepf A.
