The upland property <br />associated with the project is located on Cache Cay Drive, <br />in the City of Vero Beach. <br />Work & Purpose: The applicant proposes to construct a <br />private walkway 123 feet in length, extending over a <br />community of mangroves to a point approximately 20 feet <br />beyond the outer mangrove fringe to open water. The <br />walkway is proposed to be 5 feet in width; a 6' x 15' <br />terminal platform is also to be constructed. The deck <br />will be elevated 5 feet above Mean High Water (MHW) and <br />will be constructed with a railing. The applicant also <br />proposes to trim underlying mangroves to an elevation of <br />3.5 feet below the deck. No dredging or filling is to <br />occur. <br />12 <br />
