r <br />,� r;ti 06 <br />M <br />P R O C L A M A T I O N <br />Boos 64 FA JF152 7 <br />WHEREAS, each year, many citizens of our community and <br />county volunteer countless hours of service in order to help <br />others; and <br />WHEREAS, these VOLUNTEERS work to build strong community <br />organizations, promote issues. in the public interest, and help <br />their fellow citizens in need; and <br />WHEREAS, VOLUNTEERS come from every age group from youth to <br />senior citizens and from all walks of life; VOLUNTEERS give - <br />assistance in countless ways and a multitude of avocations; and <br />WHEREAS, volunteering plays a vital role in any community, <br />with neighbors showing their concern for one another - both <br />friends and strangers alike; and <br />WHEREAS, it is important for all of us to recognize our <br />responsibilities and roles we need to play in our community by <br />following the example of VOLUNTEERS who give themselves for the <br />betterment of all; and <br />WHEREAS, those VOLUNTEERS who give so unselfishly of their <br />time and themselves to improve the quality of life for all <br />deserve special recognition: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE .BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that the week of <br />April 21 through April 27•, 1986 be observed as <br />VOLUNTEER WEEK <br />in Indian River County, Florida, and the Board invites all <br />citizens to honor and emulate the fine individuals who help their <br />communities by opening up their hearts. <br />ATTEST: <br />Freda Wright, Cle k <br />Adopted April 16, 1986 <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />C J • �`/ <br />Don C.
