He continued that he did not attempt to second <br />guess other Board members on the projects which they have <br />researched and worked very hard on, and he felt the difference in <br />cost is a very small percentage to hold up a 21 million dollar <br />project where we are working on a very critical schedule so we <br />don't interfere with our projected revenue flow.. <br />Chairman Scurlock noted that he makes it a practice to <br />oversee and research all areas the Board is concerned with, and <br />in this case he was given different numbers; although, he does <br />not know if they are correct or incorrect. <br />Commissioner Wodtke commented that we can get a Rain Bird <br />representative here and try to get more answers, but it appears <br />the Toro plan gets more coverage, and he believed it is worth the <br />difference. He hated to put Commissioner Bowman on the spot, <br />however. <br />Commissioner Bowman stressed that she did not want to hold <br />up the project either. However, she was not impressed with the <br />architect when he was here; she doesn't like the way he is <br />handling this now; and she was not inclined to accept his <br />recommendation. <br />Chairman Scurlock was upset that he had presented all these <br />questions to the Administrator about three weeks ago and only <br />received this information today. <br />Administrator Wright advised that he had bundled up all the <br />information and forwarded it to the architect and was hoping to <br />get something from the architect to present to the Board. We do <br />at least, have an oral report from the architect. <br />Chairman Scurlock agreed that we need to do something to <br />keep moving ahead. He believed there is no question but that we <br />would get a good system with Toro and probably would with Rain <br />Bird, and he did not know if the extra to put on more inches is <br />needed or not. <br />Commissioner Bird felt there is no doubt that Rain Bird is <br />I <br />certainly a notable company in the irrigation business and that <br />68 <br />APR 16 1986 BOOK F-, r 215 <br />
