Nixon, P.E., Roadway Production Manager 474/ <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid No: 2016001 <br />OId Dixie Highway Resurfacing (71St Street to County Road 510) <br />IRC Project No. 1138 <br />DATE: November 20, 2015 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The proposed improvements to OId Dixie Highway consist of refurbishing (full depth <br />reclamation) of the roadway base from 71st Street to County Road 510, with the addition of 4 - <br />foot wide paved shoulders, including new asphalt surface and structural courses, pavement <br />markings and drainage improvements. This is a Florida Department of Transportation (F.D.O.T.) <br />Small County Outreach Program (SCOP) funded project, FM No. 429567-1-58-0. The SCOP <br />Grant will provide up to 75% reimbursement of the eligible construction cost up to a maximum <br />amount of $1,438,747.00, including construction engineering inspection (CEI) services. The <br />County will fund the remaining construction cost which includes utility relocation cost. <br />The bid opening was held on October 21, 2015. Four (4) bids were received and opened. Timothy Rose Contracting, Inc., has <br />completed various construction projects for the County and has consistently performed work in <br />a satisfactory manner.
