CHILDCARE RESOURCES OF INDIAN RIVER <br /> Program: Children in Centers <br /> Program: Children in Centers <br /> (Statistics as of 9/30/2015) <br /> • Grant: $170,000.00 <br /> • Funds Used as of 6/30/2015: $170,000.00 <br /> • Total Children served as of 9/30/2015: 124 <br /> Taxonomy numbers: NL-300.150; PH-610.150; PH-610 <br /> Focus Areas Addressed: Children in Centers <br /> Program description: This program is designed to provide access to quality childcare for an at- <br /> risk segment of the population that cannot afford to pay for quality childcare. The intent is to <br /> provide school readiness skills for the children. This organization contracts with local childcare <br /> centers that meet quality criteria for the purpose of delivering quality childcare programs for <br /> working families who meet income eligibility guidelines and live in Indian River County. <br /> GOALS/OUTCOMES REPORT (10/1/2014 — 9/30/2015) <br /> 1. 75%of Childcare Resources"graduates"will leave for kindergarten with school readiness skills as <br /> determined by the United Way's Goals for the Common Good (literacy,social/emotional and <br /> cognitive skills).This will include only those children who were in the Childcare Resources <br /> program a minimum of one year. <br /> 96% of"graduates" have achieved kindergarten readiness skills. <br /> 2. 85%of the children enrolled in the Childcare Resources program a minimum of one year will show <br /> progress in development in the course of the school year as measured by Speed Dial R, Katz <br /> Social/Emotional Checklist,Ages and Stages. Baseline: pre-tests administered in the fall of the <br /> 2014-2015 school year. <br /> 88%of the children have shown progress in development. <br /> 3. Childcare Resources parents will maintain 100%compliance in all of areas of required parent <br /> participation during the 2014-2015 school year as measured by the parent participation log. <br /> 100%of the parents have completed their required parent participation. <br /> - 16- <br /> 134 <br />
