MAY 22 1y`- WK 64r,�-JC51 <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously (4-0) <br />closed the public hearing. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wodtke to adopt Ordinance 86-36 <br />establishing Sec. 25 (S) Stormwater Discharge from <br />Single -Family Lots. <br />Commissioner Wodtke noted the recommendation stated that <br />conceptual plans will not need to be prepared or sealed by <br />engineers or architects, but he believed the ordinance does not <br />really say that. He wanted to know if it would be possible for <br />an individual to meet that requirement without having an <br />architect prepare the conceptual plan. <br />Director Davis believed it would for a single family lot <br />because it is a common sense type thing; the owner just needs to <br />look at the lot and the surrounding property to see where the <br />water is going. <br />Commissioner Wodtke inquired if you have to know the <br />elevation of the property next to you when you come in to get a <br />septic tank permit. <br />Michael Galanis of Environmental Health advised that he <br />currently requires elevations on the individual lot, but he would <br />be glad to include as a requirement that they have some <br />transition grades of the surrounding property. <br />Commissioner Bowman suggested that instead of the slab, we <br />just require the floor level to be a certain height. <br />Mr. Galanis did not understand the difference between slab <br />and floor level, and Commissioner Bowman pointed out that you can <br />build on pilings. <br />Vice Chairman asked if the Board wished to amend the word <br />"slab" to "floor level," and Commissioner Bowman felt the problem <br />54 <br />
