He felt if the Board comes up <br />with a zoning district which would encourage this mixture, we are <br />encouraging more problems in the future. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, to direct staff to outline <br />specific areas to be RMH-6 and certain ones to be <br />RS -6, and at the same time come up with a plan and <br />diagram of boundaries where this mixed zoning could <br />be allowed, or in other words, present alternatives. <br />Vice Chairman Lyons felt actually this would be more a re- <br />creation or grandfathering situation. <br />Commissioner Bowman concurred that this is a special area <br />because as was said in the past, "Roseland is a state of mind." <br />THE VICE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. <br />It was voted on and carried unanimously (4-0) <br />WINDSTORM INSURANCE REQUEST - OYSTER BAY <br />Attorney Vitunac reviewed the following memo and letter: <br />TO:Board of County DATE: 5/09/86 FILE: <br />Commissioners <br />SUBJECT: <br />AGENDA ITEM - Oyster <br />Bay Home Owners' <br />Assoc. Vitunac REFERENCES: <br />County Attorney <br />I have received the attached request from Merrill Lynch for <br />Indian River County to expand the territory covered by the <br />State of Florida Windstorm Insurance Program. As the attached <br />letter states, currently all of the property along A -1-A is <br />within the Windstorm Pool; but Oyster Pointe Condominiums are <br />west of the Indian River and east of U.S. Highway #1 and are <br />not within this territory - and, thus, are not able to <br />participate in the cheaper insurance pool. <br />I have asked Merrill Lynch to be present at the Board of <br />County Commissioners' Meeting at which this item is discussed <br />to present their request in person to you. <br />72 <br />
