Tucker, Director, Indian River County Public Health Unit, <br />after working with the Indian River Memorial Hospital to establish <br />a unified screening proceedure for the county pretaining to Maternal <br />Child Health programs is requesting a change of the guidelines for <br />his department. The new guidelines will reflect a 1850 of the current <br />Federal Poverty level. <br />The guidelines state that "The purpose of the Maternity Program is to <br />provide pre and post -natal care for clients who are ineligible for <br />Federal or State programs, and meet the current level of the Federal <br />Poverty Guidelines as stipulated by the Health Department". <br />I would recommend this change be made to the Welfare Guidelines. <br />ArPRDVED AGENDA ITEM <br />Date <br />BY: - <br />16 <br />
