Baird <br />Director, Management & Budget <br />SUBJECT: Sale - Surplus Property <br />/ s-a-�il,�.��U <br />FROM: Caroly Goodrich REFERENCES: <br />Manager, Purchasing Department <br />Description and Conditions <br />At the April 2 meeting, Asset #7289 - G. E. Master II Base Station, <br />was declared as surplus property by the Board of County Commissioners. <br />It was advertised twice as surplus property. <br />Communications of Vero Beach has offered to purchase the base station <br />for $1600.00. <br />The base station was purchased in 1984 for $2029.00. <br />Recommendation <br />It is recommended that the Board accept the only bid of $1600.00 <br />from Communications of Vero Beach. <br />Commissioner Wodtke noted that the County originally <br />purchased the base station for $2,029, and commended <br />Communications of Vero Beach on their integrity in bidding on <br />this item. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wodtke, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Lyons, the Board unanimously (4-0) <br />accepted the only bid of $1600 from Communications of <br />Vero Beach for the purchase of surplus property, Asset <br />#7289 - G.
