Wednesday, July 23, 1986 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Wednesday, <br />July 23, 1986, at 9:00 o;clock A.M. Present were Don C. <br />Scurlock, Jr., Chairman; Patrick B. Lyons, Vice Chairman; <br />Margaret C. Bowman; Richard N. Bird; and William C. Wodtke, Jr. <br />Also present were L. S. "Tommy" Thomas, Acting County <br />Administrator; Charles P. Vitunac, Attorney to the Board of <br />County Commissioners; and Barbara Bonnah, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting -to order, and Attorney <br />Vitunac led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Chairman Scurlock requested the addition to today's Agenda <br />of a Proclamation honoring Carolyn Eggert for her years of <br />service on the Planning & Zoning Commission, and as Item I on <br />today's Consent Agenda, the addition of a DER/Army Corps/DNR <br />Permit application from Lloyd & Associates, Inc. <br />Commissioner Lyons requested the addition to the Consent <br />Agenda as Item 5.1 the authorization for the County Attorney to <br />prepare an ordinance providing for the funding.of a school <br />crossing guard at all public schools in the county to come from <br />the proceeds of fines received from persons convicted of civil <br />traffic infractions. <br />Commissioner Lyons also requested the addition of -.a <br />discussion of how to mitigate the impact by the proposed Spanish <br />Lakes Fairways Development to be built in St. Lucie County <br />adjoining the southern boundary of this county. <br />I <br />800K� FAUE.;' <br />JUL 2 3 1986 <br />
