�•• <br />8/13/86(B4)LEGAL(Bnm) <br />BOOT( F'°,,F40 <br />� <br />ORDINANCE NO. 86-60 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, <br />ESTABLISHING THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY PUBLIC <br />LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD; PROVIDING ESTABLISH- <br />MENT, COMPOSITION, TERMS AND MEETINGS; PRO- <br />VIDING FUNCTION, POWERS AND DUTIES; AND PRO- <br />VIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County has determined that the delivery of public <br />library services to the citizens of Indian River County is <br />an appropriate and worthwhile goal deserving of governmental <br />support; .and <br />WHEREAS, in conjunction with the establishment of a <br />department within Indian River County to govern,.coordinate, <br />control, and otherwise operate. the public library system, <br />there should be established a special board to advise the <br />Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County to <br />insure efficient delivery of the highest quality of library <br />services to the citizens of Indian River County; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County, as follows: <br />Section I: Establishment, appointment, terms, meet- <br />ings. <br />A. Establishment. <br />There is hereby established the Indian River <br />County Public Library Advisory Board. <br />B. Composition. <br />The Indian River County Public Library Advisory <br />Board shall be composed of nine appointed members, <br />being one member from each of the five Districts within <br />the county, and four members to be chosen at large by <br />the Board of .County Commissioners. <br />C. Terms of Office; Removal. <br />Members of the Indian River County Public Library <br />Advisory Board shall serve in staggered terms of <br />four years, except as provided herein.
