Commissioner Lyons expressed concern about getting into a <br />situation where the Federal Drug Enforcement Agency may demand <br />service when we are not in a position to supply it as we may need <br />it for our own uses. He felt we should have some protection. <br />Utilities Director Pinto noted that the only part of the <br />contract that would apply says the County would not be obligated <br />if the air curtain destructor or loading equipment became <br />inoperative. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, to approve the proposed agree- <br />ment with the Federal Drug Enforcement Agency with <br />the addition of a provision setting up a businesslike <br />arrangement for the use of the equipment. <br />Commissioner Wodtke expressed concern about the time the <br />contraband would be at the Landfill area, and Utilities Director <br />Pinto assured him that the Drug Enforcement Agency will provide <br />guards who will remain with the contraband until it is completely <br />disposed of. <br />M <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. <br />It was voted on and carried unanimously. <br />SAID AGREEMENT WILL BE MADE A PART OF THE MINUTES WHEN FULLY <br />EXECUTED AND RECEIVED. <br />G.
