Tommy Thomas, . <br />Acting County Administrator Fairlane Harbor Mobile Home <br />SUBJECT: Park, Noise/Security Barrier <br />Indian River Boulevard <br />Project #8409 <br />A <br />FROM: Publicmes WWoDks1Directo REFERENCES: <br />DESCRIPTION <br />& CONDITIONS <br />The County Staff has discussed the construction of a fence along the <br />south extension of -Indian River Boulevard at Fairlane Harbor with the <br />property -owner and President of the Homeowners Association. <br />In response to the Board of County Commissioners meeting of April <br />10, 1985, staff has offered that a 6' wood fence be constructed along <br />the 1200' length of Fairlane Harbor at a cost to the county of $6,000. <br />Location of the fence- has been agreed to by the property owners and <br />Homeowners Association. Also the existing boat ramp in the right of way <br />used by Fairlane Harbor residents will remain. The attached letter from <br />Mr. Roger LaJoie request that a 6' masonry wall be constructed which <br />would cost $42.00 per lineal foot or $50,400. For this straight <br />section of the Boulevard, St=aff is of the opinion that a wood fence is <br />ad -equate and that maintenance should be by the property owners. Staff <br />requests direction in this issue. <br />The property owner has donated right of way on 12th Street valued at <br />approximately $5,500.00. <br />Public -Works Director Jim Davis advised that the owner of <br />-the mobile home park was not able to have his attorney at today's <br />meeting and is requesting that this matter be tabled until next <br />week. <br />Chairman Scurlock asked if there was anyone else here to <br />speak on this matter. There were none. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously (4-0) <br />tabled this item. <br />30 <br />
