Tuesday, September 16, 1986 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, <br />September 16, 1986, at 10:30 o'clock A.M. Present were Don C. <br />Scurlock, Jr., Chairman; Patrick B. Lyons, Vice Chairman; <br />Margaret C. Bowman; and Richard N. Bird. Absent was William C. <br />Wodtke, Jr., who was recuperating from an angino plasti <br />procedure. Also present were Charles P. Balczun, County <br />Administrator; Charles P. Vitunac, Attorney to the Board of <br />County Commissioners; Joseph Baird, OMB Director; and Barbara <br />Bonnah, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman_ called the meeting to order. <br />Reverend Peter Hill of First Baptist Church gave the <br />invocation, and Commissioner Bird led the Pledge of Allegiance to <br />the Flag. <br />Chairman Scurlock introduced Charles P. Balczun, the new <br />County Administrator, and welcomed him aboard. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Administrator Balczun requested the addition to today's <br />Agenda of the Professional Architectural Services Agreement for <br />Golden Sands Beach Park. <br />Attorney Vitunac requested the addition of a possible <br />settlement with Koppers re the Courthouse roof litigation. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Commissioner Wodtke being absent) added the above <br />items to today's Agenda. <br />e <br />BOOK b5 P,1.G 73 <br />
