Memo to Files <br />Re: Conversation with Jan AspurulOrlando Utilities <br />Date: Thursday, October 8, 2009 — (best guess) <br />Subject: Orlando Utilities Commission/City of Vero <br />�Jr <br />Commission <br />Beach Contract <br />Mr. Aspuru was very knowledgeable regarding the Orlando Utilities Commission, and <br />their relationship with FMPA (Florida Municipal Power Agency). <br />When asked if OUC was a FMPA member, he stated that they are, but it is more like an <br />Associate Member. <br />FMPA provides no generating services to OUC. OUC pays only a fee to be a member. <br />FMPA is structured into two segments: <br />1) Members of the All Requirements Project <br />2) Other projects include: St. Lucie, Stanton, Stanton II, Tri -City <br />(The City of Vero Beach is a part-owner of the generating capacity from the St. Lucie Nuclear <br />power plant (11.2 mw) and the two coal-fired plants Stanton I (20.5 mw) and Stanton 11(16.4 <br />mw). <br />Orlando Utilities Commission is not a member of the All Requirements Project. ( <br />Members of the All Requirements Project get generation services from FMPA. <br />Members of the All -Requirements Project include: <br />Bushnell 6.0 MW <br />Clewiston 28.0 MW <br />Fort Meade 11.0 MW <br />/ Fort Pierce 119.0 MW <br />Green Cove Springs 28.0 MW <br />Havana 7.0 MW <br />..2 Jacksonville Beach 182.0 MW <br />Key West 150.0 MW <br />3 Kissimmee.
