Tuesday, September 23, 1986 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, <br />September 23, 1986, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Don C. <br />Scurlock, Jr., Chairman; Richard N. Bird; and Margaret C. <br />Bowman. Absent were Patrick B. Lyons, Vice Chairman, who was <br />called away by a death in the family, and William C. Wodtke, Jr., <br />who was recuperating from an angino plasti procedure.' Also <br />present were Charles P. Balczun, County Administrator; Charles P. <br />Vitunac, Attorney to the Board of County Commissioners; Joseph <br />Baird, OMB Director; and Virginia Hargreaves, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order, and Commissioner <br />Bird led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Chairman Scurlock announced that Commissioner Lyons is in <br />California since his sister passed away, and Commissioner Wodtke <br />is still recuperating in the hospital in Orlando. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Chairman Scurlock advised that the OMB Director through <br />Administrator Balczun is requesting the addition of an item <br />regarding an insurance quote for the new fiscal year, and this <br />would be added under the Administrator's matters. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bowman, Commissioners Lyons and Wodtke <br />being absent, the Board unanimously (3-0) added <br />the above item to today's agenda. <br />L: • <br />soon 65 <br />SEP 2 3 1986 <br />
