Goulet REFERENCES:RM-6. <br />Staff Planner, Long -Range Planning <br />It is requested that the data herein presented be given formal <br />consideration by the Board of County Commissioners at their <br />regular meeting of October 21, 1986. <br />DESCRIPTION & CONDITIONS <br />The County is a.nitiating a request to amend the Comprehensive <br />Plan to redesignate approximately 466 acres, located between 71st <br />Street (Cemetery Road) and 65th Street (South Winter Beach Rodd) <br />from 58th Avenue (Kings Highway) to 600 feet west of the F.E.C. <br />Railroad from LD -2, Low -Density Residential 2 (up to 6 <br />units/acre) to LD -1, Low -Density Residential 1 (up to 3 <br />units/acre). The County is also requesting to rezone <br />approximately 457 acres (in the area described above) from RS -6, <br />Single -Family Residential District (up to 6 units/acre), to RS -3, <br />Single -Family Residential District -(up to 3 units/acre), and to <br />rezone approximately 35.4 acres, located adjacent to the west <br />side of the South Winter Beach Road Industrial Node, from RS -6, <br />Single -Family Residential District (up to 6 units/acre), to RM -6, <br />Multiple -Family Residential District (up to 6 units/acre). <br />On July 23, 1986, the Board of County Commissioners voted 4 -to -0 <br />to approve Resolution No. 86-48 which amended the Winter Beach <br />Precise Land Use Map to provide more detailed land use policies <br />for the subject property. The Board resolved that the area <br />located between 71st Street (Cemetery Road) and 65th Street <br />(South Winter Beach Road) from 58th Avenue (Kings Highway) to 600 <br />feet west of the F.E.C.R.R. should be limited to single-family <br />_ residential development with a maximum density of 3 units/acre <br />(see Figure 1). <br />On September 11, 1986, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted <br />4 -to -1 to recommend approval of the land use amendment and the <br />rezoning requests. <br />43 BOGS 66 PA' <br />E154 <br />
