OCT 2 8 1986 BOOK 66 U'u,F 1� <br />Commissioner Wodtke asked if this applies only in platted <br />subdivisions and not those divided by metes and bounds, and he <br />also wished -to know who pays all the costs that would be involved <br />in the splitting of lots. <br />Planner Boling advised that metes and bounds properties <br />would not be included and the applicant would pay for the costs <br />involved, advertising, etc., according to our fee schedule. <br />Chairman Scurlock asked if the Board members had any <br />questions on the eight amendments. <br />Commissioner Wodkte wanted an example of the amendment pro- <br />posed in Section 3, and Planner Boling referred to Mr. Lawhon's <br />Oslo Ridge Subdivision which came before the Board a while back <br />where they utilized the petition paving process to pave 11th Lane <br />SW because some of their lots were fronting on it. That demon- <br />strates where it has been a policy of this Board to do this for <br />the last several years, and this would just include it in the <br />ordinance. <br />Commissioner Bird questioned how Section 5 changes our <br />current situation, and Planner Boling explained that it simply <br />will codify our policy and put developers on notice that certifi- <br />cates of occupancy will not be issued before the required <br />subdivision improvements are completed. <br />Commissioner Wodtke asked if staff is saying the entire <br />thing has to be done or is there some flexibility, and Planner <br />Boling advised that developers are able to do their project in <br />phases. <br />Commissioner Lyons had questions on Section 6 relating to <br />required road widths as he wondered how wide roads should be in <br />some developments, how wide we have to pave, and whether this is <br />narrow enough as some of these roads get hardly any use. <br />Planner Boling referred to the following table on page 8 of <br />the proposed ordinance and advised that staff did have a request <br />to add a footnote: <br />30 <br />
