BOCK 6 D'-jE 2 7 1 <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously <br />adopted the recommendation of the Library <br />Advisory Committee as set out above. <br />ADDITION TO LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD <br />Commissioner Lyons noted that he has been working with the <br />Library Advisory Board since it was set up, but at the moment, he <br />is not named on it. He realized that he is going out of office <br />shortly, but stated that he would hate to leave this until the <br />buildings are built and would like to ask that he -be placed on <br />the Board. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Bowman, SECONDED by - <br />Commissioner Wodtke, to appoint Commissioner Lyons <br />to the Library Advisory Board. <br />Commissioner Wodtke reported that he has been contacted by <br />two people who also would like to serve on this board, and he <br />wished to know if we can keep adding to the board and how many <br />can serve on it. <br />It was confirmed that additions can be made, and question <br />continued regarding the actual number on the Board. Commissioner <br />Lyons stated that he would like his appointment to be effective <br />on November 18th, and noted it may be that he would use up one of <br />the appointments. He pointed out that this really isn't the <br />final board in any event since the reappointments are in <br />December, but he wants it to keep on operating in the meantime. <br />Chairman Scurlock stated that Commissioner Lyons would be <br />his appointment. <br />Commissioner Wodtke understood there is a lot of work to be <br />done now and asked if we can't appoint others in the hiatus <br />between now and December. <br />71 <br />
