Chairman Scurlock suggested that the Board vote on the <br />Motion on the fl.00r and consider more appointments at the next <br />meeting. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. <br />It was voted on and "carried unanimously. <br />Commissioner Lyons informed the Board that the Friends of <br />the Library are getting very active in pursuing donations and <br />presented material which they hand out. <br />REPORT ON SANDRIDGE GOLF CLUB <br />Commissioner Bird reported that construction of the course <br />is rapidly.coming to a conclusion. The irrigation system is <br />installed and functioning on all 18 holes, and planting should be <br />completed this week. <br />Commissioner Bird wished to bring to the Commission's atten- <br />tion a decision he had to make last Friday and explain why he <br />made the decision. He noted that we have had the architect over <br />here lately on a couple of occasions, and he has been spending a <br />lot of time with the architect, Golf Pro Komarinetz, Director <br />Thomas, and others on staff, walking the golf course and making <br />sure everything was completed to the county's satisfaction and <br />the architect's satisfaction so the contractor could be released <br />at some point and we could assume maintenance. In walking over <br />it a couple of weeks ago, it was determined by the head of the <br />company that does the grass planting that some of the holes up on <br />the sand ridge did not have a sufficient amount of grasses <br />planted originally or it didn't live as well as it should have; <br />so, the head of the grass planting company made the decision that <br />he would go in on his -own to replant holes 13 and 15. — <br />Commissioner Bird continued that last week on Friday, a <br />representative of the architect was here, and along with all the <br />staff, we again walked over the back nine.
