Earman from the Public <br />Safety Committee with regret and directed that he <br />be sent a letter of appreciation for his service. <br />REPORT ON SANDRIDGE GOLF CLUB <br />Commissioner Bird reported that on Sunday afternoon the <br />architect, contractor, and a group of staff, walked the golf <br />course. The grassing is completed now, and it is just a question <br />of growing it in and maintaining it. The bid opening on the cart <br />barn and clubhouse will be this Thursday. He continued that <br />Director Thomas and OMB Director Baird are working on totaling up <br />the final construction figures, and then we will be able to <br />determine if we have any funds for including bridges and cart <br />paths. Golf Manager Komarinetz is finalizing his operating <br />budgets for the coming year, and these probably will be presented <br />early in December. <br />Commissioner Bird informed the Board that he and Golf <br />Manager Komarinetz met with Administrator Balczun and Director <br />Thomas, and he believed they have a total understanding and <br />agreement in re the operating procedures and the chain of command <br />for the golf course. He felt we have a capable staff on hand <br />-now, and he is going to be able to back out of the project to <br />some extent and believed staff will be able to operate it in a <br />successful manner. <br />Commissioner Bird expressed the hope that as soon as we can <br />get a cart out that more of the Commissioners will go out to the <br />course and take a tour. <br />Chairman Scurlock noted that he has looked over the course, <br />and it is impressive. <br />Commissioner Wodtke commented that contractor Guettler has <br />said that in all the work he has done on golf courses in Florida, <br />54 <br />
