BARYON <br />ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF UTILITY SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: BOND TO COVER IMPACT FEE (SEWER) FOR THE COST OF THE <br />PACKAGE PLANT IN THE HOSPITAL NODE <br />r <br />BACKGROUND <br />The hospital node is currently served by Indian River County for water <br />and by the City of Vero Beach for sewer, on a temporary basis, until <br />the County completes the New Gifford Sewer Treatment Plant. The <br />County has asked any developer to cover the projected cost of impact <br />fees or a package plant with a cash bond or an irrevocable letter of <br />credit. The projected cost,was $53,750.00 and attached are copies of <br />the cash bond for $180.00 and an irrevocable letter of credit for <br />$53,570.00 which equals the total needed of $53,750.00. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Utility Staff recommends that the Commission approve the combination, <br />cash and letter of credit for the total of $53,750.00, and authorize <br />the Chairman to sign the Wastewater Service Agreement. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wodtke, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bowman, the Board unanimously approved the <br />combination cash bond and letter of credit for a <br />total of $53,750, approved the Wastewater Service <br />Agreement with Florida Convalescent Centers, Inc., <br />and authorized the signature of the Chairman. <br />8 <br />
