� � r <br />Tuesday, November 18, 1986 <br />SWEARING-IN CEREMONY <br />At 8:45 o'clock A.M., Judge James Balsiger formally adminis- <br />tered the Oath of Office to newly elected Commissioners Carolyn <br />K. Eggert and Gary C. Wheeler. <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, <br />November 18, 1986, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Don C. <br />Scurlock, Jr., Chairman; Margaret C. Bowman; Richard N. Bird; <br />Carolyn K. Eggert; and Gary C. Wheeler. Also present were <br />Charles Vitunac, Attorney to the Board of County Commissioners; <br />Charles P. Balczun, County Administrator; L. S. "Tommy"Thomas, <br />Director of Intergovernmental Relations; and Virginia. Hargreaves, <br />Deputy Clerk. <br />Chairman Scurlock called the meeting to order. <br />Reverend Ronald Tovey, First Church of God, gave --the <br />invocation, and Chairman Scurlock led the Pledge of Allegiance to - <br />the Flag. <br />ELECTION OF VICE CHAIRMAN <br />The Chairman asked for nominations for the post of Vice <br />Chairman, which was left vacant by retiring Commissioner Lyons.. <br />Commissioner Wheeler placed the name of Commissioner Bowman <br />in nomination, which nomination was seconded by Commissioner <br />Eggert. <br />Chairman Scurlock asked for any further nominations, and <br />there being none, declared Commissioner Margaret Bowman elected <br />Vice Chairman by acclamation. <br />NOV 18 1986 Boo. 66 ri�,,i.357 <br />
