BOONE, ENGINEERING OPERATIONS MANAGER <br />.SUBJECT: 12TH STREET WATER DISTRIBUTION IMPROVEMENTS <br />12TH STREET FROM OLD DIXIE HIGHWAY TO 6TH AVENUE and <br />COMMERCE AVENUE FROM 12TH STREET TO 10TH STREET <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY UTILITIES DIVISION PROJECT #UW86-16-DS- <br />On June 25, 1986, the Board of County Commissioners approved Work <br />Authorization No. 7, as submitted by Masteller & Moler Associates, <br />Inc., for the subject water distribution system improvements. The <br />original work authorization totalling $195,000.00 included a <br />construction -cost estimate of $180,000.00 and engineering costs of <br />$15,000.00 for the construction of a 12 -inch diameter water main <br />along 12th Street from Old Dixie Highway to 6th Avenue and a 16 -inch <br />diameter water main along Commerce Avenue from 12th Street to 10th <br />Street. <br />Due to re-evaluation of the Water System Master Plan, and to avoid <br />significant construction conflicts along the south side of 12th <br />Street, the 12 -inch water main along the south side of 12th Street <br />has been increased to a 16 -inch main and has been relocated to the <br />north side of 12th Street.
