Based on the illegal landclearing and number of protected trees <br />removed, staff requested on September 8, 1986, that Mr. Eller <br />submit a voluntary payment of $7,000.00 and obtain after -the - <br />fact permits. Mr. Eller responded in a letter dated September. <br />12, 1986, indicating that Mr. Boudet was responsible for <br />obtaining appropriate permits for the landclearing and esta- <br />blishment of a right-of-way. Neither Mr. Eller nor Mr. Boudet <br />indicated they would submit the voluntary payment as requested <br />by staff. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners consi- <br />der obtaining a voluntary payment of $7,000 dollars, in addi- <br />tion to the requirement of after -the -fact permits. DeBloise <br />r;; <br />RE: Your letter of Nov. 7 1986 <br />Rescheduling landclearing violation healing <br />1 g 9 v <br />Dear Mr. DeBlois: <br />This is to acknowlegde and thank you for your letter of November 7th, 1986. 1 appreciate the rescheduling <br />of the hearing to November 25th at 9:30 a.m. I plan to be there myself if at all possible and I understand Jim <br />Boudet will be there also. <br />As a matter of interest, I purchased the property with the intent of building a water pump manufacturing <br />plant there in the not to distant future which will employ from 60 to 100 people. We would like to .proceed <br />on all the necessary permits as quickly as possible in order to make sure that we don't run into any "snags" <br />which would effect our planning. <br />In fact, we have already had preliminary discussions with Carter Engineering Assoicates to proceed in the <br />permitting process. Once we see the "green light" in Indian River County for the whole process, we intend <br />to put our Brevard factory site up for sale, (we have 7 acres on the Intra -coastal waterway and US No. 1) and <br />move the factory to Vero. <br />37 <br />BOOK r'9;F 50 <br />
