Vitunac, County Attorney <br />DATE: November 19 1986 <br />RE: AGENDA - BCC MEETING 11/25/86 <br />FAIRGROUNDS <br />As a result of direction from the Board of County <br />Commissioners at the last Board of County Commissioners' <br />meeting, this office would like to suggest the following as <br />a possible resolution to all problems concerning the <br />firemen's annual fair held at Kiwanis-Hobart Park. <br />Mr. Wally Rich from the Department of Agriculture, Division <br />of Fairs and Expositions, has agreed with us if the County <br />sponsors a County fair, the State will permit the fair as <br />long as the County complies with the State rules and <br />regulations. In other words, the Indian River County Fair <br />Association, Inc. is not necessary for there to be a <br />State -approved fair in Indian River County. Therefore, I <br />would recommend that our office be authorized to take the <br />necessary steps to abolish the Fair Corporation. <br />Simultaneously with the abolition of the Fair Corporation, <br />the County Administrator has indicated that he will create a <br />53 <br />BOOK 516 <br />
