NOV 2 5 1986 <br />BOOK 66 <br />Division of Fairs and Expositions beneath the Department of <br />Recreation. It would become the responsibility, of this <br />County division to negotiate with the firemen for holding <br />the annual County fair. This written agreement could be for <br />a term of years such that the firemen could obtain financing <br />for any permanent construction which needs to be built at <br />the fairgrounds. The Division of Fairs and Expositions <br />would also be responsible for operating the fairgrounds <br />property during the remaining 50 weeks of the year. <br />We request direction from the Board to proceed in this <br />manner. <br />Commissioner Bird felt this makes a lot of sense. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously <br />authorized the County Attorney's office to take <br />the necessary steps to abolish the Fair Corporation. <br />DOUGLAS SCHOOL LEASE <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 11/19/86: <br />TO: The Board of County Commissioners <br />DATE: November 19, 1986 <br />SUBJECT: las School Lease <br />FROM:wi <br />P. Wilson <br />ant County Attorney <br />Attached hereto is the original Lease prepared by this <br />office for the purpose of leasing the Douglas School to the <br />Wabasso Progressive Civic League, Inc. This Lease has been <br />prepared in the same basic form as other agreements between <br />the County and nonprofit service organizations. <br />.1 will be happy to answer any questions you may have about <br />this Lease at the November 25th meeting of the Board of <br />County Commissioners. <br />54 <br />
